The Hornbill Festival, a yearly feature taking places from the 1st -10th of December in Nagaland, Northeast India is a modern day cultural extravaganza of all Naga Tribes. The festival showcases the culture and tradition of the tribal people of Nagaland. The festival is held at the heritage village of Kisama, about 12 km from Kohima. Festival that provides melody of cultural performances, indigenous games, craft, music, food and series of competitions in various activities. The Heritage village consists of tribal houses called ‘Morung’ of 16 recognised major Naga tribes which have their own unique customs and tradition.
